A tongue out of our cheek
Everyone's the fool they seek
We all go off the track
And feel for our way back

»»Overall Appearance:
First glance tells you the obvious, she's a damn beautiful girl. On closer inspection, she doesn't look happy. When you get to know her you assume that the only expression she can make is one of mild annoyance, with a scowl plastered on her pretty face and her nose scrunched up in distaste. Eventually you just accept this is how the way things are, and no smile will ever grace her face while you're with her.She has a cautious and protected air about her, and she noticeably will try to stay a distance away from you. Despite what you may think her range of emotions surpasses that of the more prominent anger, but she doesn't see the point in showing her more pleasant side.
She's rather on the short side, illness having stunted her growth and making her shorter than her twin. Her skin is tanned, though rather pale in the winter seasons. She has long chestnut brown hair that extends past her shoulder blades, and she cuts it in the summer if it gets too much to handle. Her hair frames her cute face, holding big green eyes and a small nose. Mirella's pouty lips are forever formed in a scowl, and getting her to smile is a very rare moment, though it causes her entire face to brighten pleasantly. Her limbs are long and graceful despite her being somewhat clumsy and rather short. She holds herself carefully and poises with her balance centered.
On a normal day she's prone to wearing long jeans and a large sweatshirt that hides most of her figure despite it making her look rather cute. In the summer she's more geared towards dresses and shorts with tank tops, but doesn't try to overexpose herself too much since she does have a sense of modesty.

Mirella is a quiet but focused girl. She does well with menial and large tasks alike, as long as she’s entirely focused on them. This dedication to a task has allowed her to develop the ability to shut out all outside noise, including people. Though this hasn’t ended well in the past, with her ignoring important people or other duties she was to perform, it allows her to complete her objective successfully and quite well. She’s content at work, or at least when her mind is focused and not able to wander. Considering this, she doesn’t like to be bothered. She has a short temper which is easily set off by a number of things, and the main thing that seems to annoy her is being interrupted from her work. She snaps a lot, and is quick to insult even if she doesn’t mean it. Those who are easily insulted stray away, and only the most resilient who are willing to brush off the insults seem to stay.
She hates talking about herself, and keeps a lot of secrets. Not many people at all know about her illness, and she simply uses her limitations as excuses for laziness. She complains about exerting herself, and she simply “doesn’t do” a lot of things due to personal preference. Though her ever present fear is still there considering the consequences of what could happen, and they remain nagging at her in the back of her head, ever reminding her of how abnormal she is compared to other people. Mirella hates people worrying about her, which is the main reason she likes to keep people at bay and at a distance, though she can’t resist when people press her for information.
She’s quite self-conscious about herself, and tries to battle these inadequate feelings by being over confident in her abilities and vain at times. Of course that doesn’t mean you can complement her, because she takes things in stride and brushes off most flattery, simply assuming people expect something from her, despite the fact she gets easily embarrassed by it either way. She gets angry and flustered easily at the mention of her younger siblings, and clearly though she may seem protective of them as every good older sibling should she suffers from an inferiority complex which causes her to compare herself to them constantly. She may try to hide it but it bothers her often, and despite the fact she won’t let anyone see her cry she often does and quite easily, but in the hidden safety of her own world. Paired with this is a deep feeling of worthlessness since she does realize she’s a terrible Pokémon trainer, too headstrong where she should be gentle and too anxious where she should be strong. These fears often eat her alive and she’s considered dropping her journey on many occasions, pushing on at this point only to try and meet up with her siblings and keep up the façade of happiness.
Gentleness is shown when dealing with young Pokémon and Pokémon eggs, a side of her that is not seen by many if anyone but her brother, and she hides it well. Despite her brash nature she is careful with a few things, and seems to hold a soft spot for young Pokémon. When all is said and done and she’s drained at the end of the day this can also be applied to others, a gentler and caring nature is revealed and she can tend to others rather well despite the occasional insult half-heartedly thrown around. In her times of weakness it is easier to see through her façade than she’d normally allow, and it’s easier to see how lonely the journey has become for her and how much she seems to have put into this expedition, but how little has actually come out of it for her. Even with these realizations she keeps people at a distance, and may do so more and more if said person can see through her façade. She refuses to directly address the problem herself, and dodges the subject when questioned.
She can get possessive when she obtains something, be it a person, Pokémon, or an object. During these times she hopes not to run into her younger siblings, harboring a deep fear of that thing being taken away by them since to her they are clearly the better choice over her. This is the main reason she doesn’t like to make friends, since in the past anyone she had met had been friendly towards her until meeting Feliciano and Feliciana, and had abandoned her for them. Of course with these bad feelings that are directed toward the more pleasant siblings, she harbors massive guilt that weighs her down. She wants only the best for her younger siblings, but can’t help but be jealous of them for all they already have. Pushing those feelings aside she’ll often threaten or be critical of the people that they meet, and uses them as a safe guard to keep hope and press on.
Her motto is Keep Calm and Don’t Disappoint Them
A habit of hers that she can't break is her sticky fingers. Ever since she was little she and her brother would latch onto to items, sometimes without even realizing it, and steal them. Not due to adrenaline, or because they really wanted it, but because they had nothing better to do. They weren't reprimanded by their father, who only seemed to encourage the habit, but she quickly realized how bad it was and keeps trying to stop, but she will ocassionally find herself with items she didn't have before, but now she can blame it on her pokemon.

»»History:
Mirella was born in the city of Lillycove in the Hoenn region, the younger of a set of twins by 3 hours. The first few years of their lives passed by without much notice, she grew with her older brother Lovino quite normally, despite the two displaying intense feelings of displaced anger and small spouts of aggression. The bliss didn’t last long however, until another sibling arrived to capture the attention of seemingly the whole town. The twins watched as their brother, named Feliciano, shone under the spotlight his adorable face had created, while the two pouted and ran off to their own devices. Mirella was very close with her twin brother, despite their fighting they confided in each other their darkest secrets and protected each other carefully. A dark secret the two seemed to share now was their discomfort with the changes they were experiencing since the birth of the new baby. Though the two were clearly protective, as they should have been with their places as older siblings, they couldn’t help but become jealous of the young child’s clear talent even at an early age.
At age 4 the twins experienced a mysterious illness that suddenly descended over the town due to the blowing of ash from an unknown source. Despite the eventual return of health the two were plagued with weak immune systems and the inability to control certain motor functions from occurring, such as the shaking of their hands or distinct facial twitches. After the return of their full health, things settled down and returned to normal, and Feliciano was budding more than ever. This caused deep feelings of abandonment to rise between the twins, who at that point had made a conscious decision not to trust anyone but each other, since they had only ended up hurt in the past. This was only worsened by the birth of yet another baby, a mere two years after Feliciano (a lot has happened in those two years.) The new baby girl Feliciana was a practical twin of their younger brother, and seemed just as talented.
The differences in the children were clear, as though there was a clear line drawn between them. The older twins had an irrational anxiety around Pokémon of a large size, preferring the smaller more manageable types, while the younger two were thrilled to be around Pokémon of any type and size. The distinction between them became more obvious as the two younger eagerly set out on their Pokémon journeys at an early age, while the elders made excuses to stay home. The disappointment of their mother didn’t go unnoticed, though their father seemed nearly satisfied in a way. At 14 the two were introduced to a dark secret that had been hidden from them for years. Their father was a higher up in the Team Aqua organization, and expected them to share his views and join his efforts.
Lovino and Mirella had agreed that their views were insane, and refused to join the organization. A large fight broke out between the two youngsters and their father, which for years left ill blood between them. When it neared their sixteenth birthday, another fight broke out which would alter the course of their lives. In an angry huff the twins had decided to start their journey, if nothing more than to spite their father to work towards the greater good against him. Mirella left to gather her first Pokémon, not having to travel far. Despite the years of fighting she was weary, and eager to start her travels and escape the dreary town. She had conspired with her brother to start the journey by leaving together, like their younger siblings had, but once they reached a new town they would split up and go down their own paths.
The one problem they ran into was their Pokémon. Separately this fight occurred with both of them, their father deciding to try and force a Dark type on them for protection but also as a constant reminder of what he expected from them. With gritted teeth Mirella was trapped, with the threat of being followed by Aqua grunts who would watch her every move. Accepting with a great deal of reluctance the twins escaped the house as soon as they could, and split quickly. One thing they didn't count on was that the Purrloin's they had recieved were more similar to them than they had thought. Things went missing from people and places, and it turned out the twin Purrloin's were just as prone to having sticky paws as they were to having sticky fingers.
Soon Mirella realized how alone she felt without her twin, and how much time they had spent together in the short sixteen years of their life together. She also realized she was a terrible trainer, panicking when larger Pokémon approached her and rather than battling Pokémon she opted to befriend them to allow them into her party. Rather than staying in the Hoenn region she decided to stray from her homeland and travel to a different region to collect her badges.
