Odette has blond hair that falls in waves and curls to her upper thighs. It's a thick mass of hair that takes a long time to tame to the point that it's presentable, but she adores it, so she keeps it long. She'll occasionally play with it into some sort of style, but usually only a headband to keeps most of her hair out of her face.
Odette is a thin, small girl. She has no traces of womanhood and her face is small and round with large golden eyes. All in all, Odette seems a lot younger than she really is and her childish mannerisms and carefree smile don't help with this first impression.
The girl usually wears comfortable and simple clothes that are sometimes unflattering, such as overalls and large, old t-shirts. Occasionally, she will dress up, as a treat to herself, in dresses and skirts that lift when you spin. Odette wears more fancy outfits when she participates in a contest, as they are formal events. Regardless of what she's wearing, her tendency to roll on the ground and run around sometimes wrinkles her clothes, gets them dirty with grass and mud stains, and causes her to pick up debris like leaves or blades of grass. This only adds to her childish appearance and can make others very annoyed with her.

Odette is a cheerful girl who is overflowing with energy. It seems like even the worst of times can't rid her of her small smile. Add in her fighting spirit and her lack of sober expressions and she's a tough opponent for those that take things a lot more seriously. There are only a few things that can make the girl seem the slightest bit mature and events where this side of her is shown are rare. Odette loves to laugh and joke with everyone so, unless she doesn't laugh, grin, or say that she's being serious, you can't take much of what she says seriously.
Oddly enough, the young coordinator has no serious will to obtain all of the contest ribbons. Odette's only wish seems to be to please the audience and allow that audience to see how she performs with her Pokemon. To give the audience a good show is her only dream and to be given glory for that dream is bonus that she likes. Fame means a bigger audience.
Odette is not a sore loser, which is one of her good points. She's honest and tries to sound sincere when it counts. Though her overall carefree attitude and fast pace can get on others' nerves and cause friends to worry, she doesn't seem to make an effort to change those parts of her but tries her best to repay others for their patience with affection, understanding, and appreciation.
The girl tends to act colder to those she doesn't like, but these people are rare. She dislikes quitters and people who have a true "don't give a damn" attitude. These people irritate her to no end and she may go as far as to get into serious arguments with them. Until these people prove they are otherwise, her behavior towards them won't change.

It may be hard to believe, but Odette used to be a very serious girl. She worked extremely hard, sometimes to the point of causing unnecessary stress and had dreams to become a trainer and battle all of the gym leaders. After all, her father had done the same and he had been her favorite at the time. When she met her best friend, Odette learned about a mysterious thing called "fun" and found that she liked it very much. She went to her friend's house often and played with her. She followed her friend everywhere, like a puppy, for a few years.
One day, after much coaxing from her friend, Odette entered a beauty contest for young people. Being the serious girl she had been, she was reluctant but she agreed anyway, because it was her best friend asking. She found that she liked the feeling of dressing up and the approval of the audience, even though she didn't win. Odette then began to question her aspirations as a trainer.
Soon afterward, her best friend moved away from town and Odette became somewhat lonely since she had left, though she would write to her friend everyday; however, everything her friend taught her about fun stuck to her mind. The serious Odette then began to expand her social circle and found that she loved the fun and the laughter that came with friends. She wanted to have more fun. And so, the serious Odette slowly became the carefree and loving Odette that you see today.
The girl didn't fully realize her new dream of achieving the audience's approval until she realized that she didn't care much about becoming a trainer anymore. When she heard about all that coordinators do, she decided to make that her new occupation. It may not be her sole goal in life and it may only be a passing phase, but she's happy with the way things are now and she's only getting happier.
