(So I wasn't too sure how this worked, so I tried my best at it o.o)
Prehnite Town was not somewhere April had expected to end up, but here she was. She had to wonder why she wandered around so much, but maybe it was a good thing? Traveling was what she was supposed to be doing, but still, she never stayed anywhere for too long. In fact, she and Elli had barley gotten to take in all the sights up in the mountain before April had decided it was time to move on. Her hands rested behind her head as Elli traveled beside her. Finally, the girl stopped in order to light a fire. As she rubbed the two sticks in her palms over the kindling, she turned to look at Elli.
“I’m sorry we didn’t get too look that much into staying longer back there Elli, I just get tired of sitting in one place for too long you know?” Elli, who was still slightly upset with her, sighed and nodded.
Alright, it’s okay. But where’s lunch? As the fire lit, April pulled out a portable pan and began getting stuff together to cook. She wasn’t the best cook out there, but she liked to make her own food when she could. Eating out was always nice, but nothing beat a fresh cooked meal prepared by her…and least, she thought so. It really depended for Elli. Elli was soon handed a cooked cheese sandwich by her trainer, and scarfed it down with hurried bites. April chuckled gently.
“Slow down Elli, you’re going to give yourself a stomachache that way.” She chided as she bit into her own sandwich. Elli ignored her, and soon April’s thoughts drifted to the wilderness around them. What kind of Pokemon lived around here anyway? As she pondered this, it seemed that her questions would soon be answered.
“Deerling!” April ducked quickly as a flash of pink bounded over her. Noticing someone behind it, it turned and flicked its ears at her, curious to see a human out this far. April and the Deerling stared at eachother for a few moments before it bounded off behind one of the bushes. After a moment, April snapped out of it. She stood up and poured her bucket of water over the fire to douse it and turned to Elli.
“Come on girl, we have to track that Deerling!” Elli wasn’t sure what had suddenly overcome April, but she was quick to follow after as April’s shoes pounded against the dirt. Finally, they came to where the Deerling had come to a stop. It stomped its foot in challenge as April stepped towards it.
“Elli, give it a Fire Punch!” Elli let her fist grow into a fireball before hurling herself at the Deerling. Fist blazing, she slammed it against the Deer’s side, knocking it off balance. But the Deerling was quick to recover. It turned and gave Elli a swift kick to the stomach, knocking her back into April. April knew that hadn’t been a real attack, but Elli was in pain. Hesitantly, she pulled out a Pokeball and tossed it, watching as it smacked the Deerling on the head. Now all she could do was wait to see if it stopped or not.
